Exxat One - July 31st, 2024 Release

Receive real-time notification updates from the site end.

We are excited to introduce a comprehensive in-app notification system on Exxat One, designed to keep you informed about key actions from the sites. You will now receive notifications for the following events:

• A message has been sent by a site.
• Changes are made to an internship where you have applied/received slots.
• Site approves/declines a request.
• Site cancels an assignment.
• Site makes changes to approved slots.
• Site makes changes in an assignment.

A notification badge at the top right corner of the page indicates new notifications and the notifications received pops-up at this position.

Click on the notification badge to open the notification center displaying all notifications from latest to oldest.

Note: You need to enable the notifications from your browser settings, to be able to receive the in-app notifications.

Guide to enable the notification settings on different browsers:

Google chrome:

1. Go to your Chrome browser.
2. At the top right corner, click More > Settings or if you’re a Mac user, from the menu bar at the top, select Chrome > Preferences
3. Go to Advanced > Privacy and Security
4. Click Site settings.
5. Click Notifications.
6. Choose to allow notifications

Firefox:

If you’re a Windows user,
1. Click on the hamburger menu icon in the top right corner next to the home icon
2. Select Options > Content
3. Click the ‘Choose’ button next to Notifications
4. Here you can see a list of websites for which you’ve allowed notifications.

If you’re a Mac user,
1. Go to menu, select Firefox > Preferences
2. Go to Privacy and Security
3. Select Settings
4. Click Allow next to the website.  

Safari:

1. Go to Safari in the top menu
2. Select Preferences
3. Go to Websites > Notifications
4. You will find the websites listed out where you can select allow to enable notifications from the website.

Microsoft Edge:

1. Click on the More icon in the top right corner
2. Go to Settings > Advanced
3. Click Manage
4. Click on the website for which you want to enable push notifications
5. Move the toggle to the right to enable notifications

Customize your choice of receiving notifications related to the various events

Click on the notification badge to view all the notifications received.

At the top right corner, click on the settings icon to open the Notification Configuration screen where you can customize which notifications you wish to receive. By checking or unchecking the box against specific events you can customize and save your preferences for receiving notifications related to those events.

Important Update: 

We are excited to announce the following changes in our product terminology:

• "Internship" will now be referred to as "Availability."
• "Assignment" will now be referred to as "Schedules."

These updates are designed to enhance clarity and improve your user experience.
